1.There are more than 60 kinds of juniper, evergreen shrubs, the highest can grow to 10 meters, generally about 2 meters.  The trunk is red and the leaves are needle shaped. Each three leaves are arranged in a tight spiral shape. They will have small yellow flowers and cones that will turn from green to black or dark blue when they mature.  Although essential oils can also be extracted from tree trunks or branches, they are of poor composition and low value, and juniper essential oils are used in aromatherapy.
